On June 11, 2025, an online presentation of the geographic information system (GIS) of the land resources management of the Tavri community of the Zaporizhia region took place — a technological breakthrough in the field of local self-government and spatial planning.
The basis of the system is the community's desire for transparent and effective management of land resources. Despite the existence of the electronic Public Cadastral Map of Ukraine since 2013, communities remained limited in access to full-fledged cadastral data, which made management, control and planning difficult. The newly created system allows to radically change this situation.
A new generation tool
The GIS of the Tavri community is an innovative cartographic platform that accumulates information from more than six state registers, in particular: the State Land Cadastre, property rights registers, tax and court registers. The system provides a complete visualization of the community's land bank, including boundaries, legal status, tenants, lease terms, regulatory monetary assessment, etc.
