Many Ukrainian communities are now filling the Unified State Address Register (USAR), but the most time-consuming stage is often the preparation of local address data. Records must be checked, duplicates removed, technical errors corrected, and valid exchange files produced.
Why address data preparation matters
The Unified State Address Register is designed as a single source of current address information. The initiative is implemented under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 254 of 5 March 2024.
For a community, reliable data makes it easier to verify addresses, correct inconsistencies, and use address information in municipal services and digital systems. Work usually begins with an audit of the existing register: identifying buildings, comparing spellings and administrative units, detecting duplicates, and checking required attributes.
Results achieved by communities
