In today's world, the rapid development of technologies and the growing needs of the population require utility companies to renew their approaches to work and implement innovations.On January 14, 2025, representatives of MagneticOne Municipal Technologies presented a geo-information system with the “Engineering networks” module developed for the “Mykolaivvodokanal” MCP. This system is designed to save, accumulate and display information about the city's engineering infrastructure, in particular, water supply and drainage networks.
Implementation of GIS engineering networks took place in three stages. At the first stage, basic implementation was carried out, which involves the transfer of data on engineering networks from paper and other sources to digital format. This made it possible to create a unified scheme of the city's water supply and drainage networks, facilitating access to technical documentation and information about the infrastructure.The main advantages of implementing this system include:– visualization of networks: a visual display of the city's water supply and drainage networks;
– automation of documentation: simplification of maintenance of technical documentation and inventory of engineering communications;
– quick access to information: operational access to detailed technical characteristics of engineering infrastructure;
– operational response: quick response to accidents and emergency situations with the possibility of their immediate elimination;
– planning and forecasting: the possibility of forecasting and carrying out preventive, emergency and recovery works.
